Speaker

Ocean waves coming onto beach.
Liz Abess speaking at an event.

I share my experience of striving to stop my brother’s drug addiction, along with lessons learned throughout forty years of enabling others, and invite listeners to explore their own possibilities for change.

We explore addiction, codependency, and recovery with empathy and a commitment to learning and growth, encouraging open and honest dialogue without judgment. We will discuss how to heal from codependency, the relationship between addiction and codependency, what codependency looks like in relationships, and much more.

People often engage in a presentation feeling lost in their relationship addiction, focused on another person’s struggles, but leave with a glimmer of hope—you’re not alone. Our goal is to help people recognize unbalanced roles and empower them to take steps toward finding freedom.
