Discovery Workshops

Learn to stop managing other people’s lives and start fulfilling your own purpose.

A Decision for Freedom from Codependency.

Sample Workshop Questions:

  1. Can you think of an example of where you have given unsolicited advice to adult kids or friends or family, or offered to help when you hadn’t been asked?

  2. Ask yourself, what value are you getting out of being helpful? Is it self-worth?

  3. What’s one way of responding that you can change in how you deal with your person?

ReVision workshops help us recognize our role in other people’s lives. We’ll begin recovering from codependency by responding differently, to heal and grow and ultimately find ourselves again. To welcome freedom and purpose back into our lives.

Recovery begins with these key topics:

  • Recognizing Roles: Acknowledging that when we accommodate other people’s lives, we enable them, lose ourselves and they lose responsibility for themselves.

  • Letting Go: Taking baby steps toward releasing our attachment, having healthy boundaries, and empowering our person to grow and manage their own lives.

  • Embracing Change: Rediscovering our own skills and goals as we move toward ReVision, embracing the identity we lost in the cycle of loving an addict.

  • "We had the opportunity to have Liz conduct one of her Codependency Workshops for our Celebrate Recovery group this last summer. As a Ministry Leader for many years, I found her workshop to be very informative. Not only does she bring her own experiences and knowledge to the table, but it is also backed with great research. So many people do not understand what codependency is and the affects it has on individuals, families, and workplace environments. I highly recommend attending her workshop. It is designed for those new to the term and those who have extensive knowledge of the subject."

Jason C. Bergh - Folsom, CA

  • “Liz recently did her Codependency talk at our Celebrate Recovery, and it certainly touched a lot of people. Those who knew they struggled with boundaries and co-dependency and those who didn’t know they did until her talk. She has a way of reaching everyone with specific examples and suggestions that can help everyone and things they can apply right away. We continue to hear from our CR attendees who benefited from Liz’s help many months later.”

Rodney Wegemer - Celebrate Recovery Folsom

  • "It was really helpful for me, as a codependent, to share with others in a safe group setting, some of my struggles and bad habits of enabling the addict in my life. This workshop makes me believe there is hope for change and how important it is to have dreams and visions for a future."

Sharyl Eichhorn - El Dorado Hills, CA

  • "You find peace when you realize another person's actions and words have nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. Liz’s workshop helps us identify codependency and the control it has on us. She has a great way of communicating the work needed to help release the hold it has us as individuals."

    Rosemary Park - Roseville, CA

I’m not a licensed MFT or psychologist or health care professional. But I’ve got the street cred, the experience, forty year’s worth of studying, analyzing, researching and therapy – real life stuff that informs my position, reinforced over and over. So while I can’t guarantee the outcome of my suggestions—any comments about outcomes are expressions of my personal opinion only—I can guarantee that although everyone has a different situation, we can all do some healing and find more peace with ReVision.
